I’ve had a week off work with the aim of sorting through the various hoarded toot in my flat and getting rid of it. My fiancé and I are toot hoarders, so decided to take a week off and have a good tidy out.
As you can imagine, it was a hectic week, and honestly, following the plan was a real challenge for me. There were times when we would be out somewhere and stop off for something to eat, but I’d realise I’d forgotten to bring a pack with me, or just being tired or lazy, I’d have what my fiancé was having without even caring.
My planning went down the drain, and I’ve got no one to blame but myself. When I was weighed and again I had stayed the same for the fourth week running, of course I was happy not to have gained weight, but it finally sunk in that my routine has started to really fall apart and old habits have begun to creep back into my life.
I’ve failed to drink enough water while being at home, and I’ve definitely made some bad food choices, but the fact that I’m aware of this has kept me going, and now I am back at work and things are less up in the air, I can concentrate more on me and what I want to achieve, and I want to achieve my ideal weight! So, the plan of action for this week is:
- Drink plenty of water
- Get back the routine of eating my packs at certain times to avoid hunger
- Get down the swimming pool or outdoor gym a couple of times
- Make sensible food choices
When you think about what you need to do, it can be daunting, but writing it down can make it seem so much easier. All I have to do are those four little things, and I know I can do it, because I’ve done it before. I’m aiming for at least a 2lb loss next week, so that is my motivation. Watch this space
