I don't think I've mentioned this in previous posts, but a little while ago I decided to take a course in nutrition and weight management.
I sat and read the back of one of my shake packs one morning and thought to myself, I know all these vitamins and minerals are all good for me, but what are they for exactly? So, to satisfy my curiosity, I decided to embark on a course to tell me just that.
I wasn't expecting to become as interested in nutrition as I have, this course has really opened my eyes to what our body really needs to function, and I was amazed at how much our bodies have to do. It has definitely given me a newfound respect for my body, and makes me even more conscious of what I put in it. And with this newfound knowledge and understanding, I'm glad to say that I took my online exam last night and PASSED!
Looking back at the way I was a year ago, its hard to believe that I'm now over 4 stone lighter, a million times more confident and a qualified nutritionist; I don't feel, look or behave like the same person.
This course has just added to my bag of tools that I can use in the future to ensure I follow a healthy, balanced diet, and for those of you with a curious mind, I would definitely recommend looking into nutrition, not particularly studying a full blown course, but even just reading some articles online or in magazines. Its certainly a good thing to know what your body needs to function properly, and that knowledge will also help you in your weight loss journey.
