I have two left feet and can't dance for toffee, which is why I've always avoided the biggest exercise craze around, but Zumba has always intrigued me, so I bit the bullet this week and headed to my first Zumba class.
Luckily I had friends with me so I wasn't feeling too vulnerable, but when the music started and everyone began dancing these routines they'd learnt over the past weeks, I felt very out of place.
Deciding not to over think it, I began to catch some rhythm and by the end of the class, I was getting to grips with the routines and even throwing some freestyle moves of my own! It was so much fun, especially when my friend nearly put her foot through the wall while we were doing some Charleston moves.
I've booked in for next week too and I've got a couple of other friends coming along, so the Zumba bug is really catching on. As exhausting as it was, I had an absolute blast and can't wait to go again!
