We had a good old chat in our coaching session today, and although I can't put my finger on one specific point that made a difference, I feel like something has clicked in my head.
My determination is back in bucket loads, I'm planning and preparing my meals so that its not left to the last minute, and strangely I'm feeling more motivated than I have in a while!
I think since my brothers wedding, I've given myself free rain in a sense – although I've been having my packs, my food choices haven't been ideal, and I've been snacking for no real reason.
Today is the first time that I've drunk a decent volume of water, that I've planned a healthy dinner, and that I've completed zumba and not wanted to go home and have something naughty as a treat for doing so well.
A mixture of crooked thinking and bad planning have really kept me in a rut, but I'm glad to say that I'm finally getting out of it and getting back on track.
My coach gave me a great exercise to try at home for motivation – she said to get a pack of gemstones (although I'm going to use buttons because I've got loads of them!) and two vases. Each stone/button represents 1lb, so put the amount of lbs you want to lose in one vase, and every time you do lose one, transfer it into the other vase. This really had an impact on me because I love being able to see things happen, and something like this is right up my alley.
I'm aiming for a good weight loss this week, so watch this space peeps
