I had reached a point when I just wasn't happy in my own body. Shopping was something I began to see as a chore as I was struggling to find clothes to fit as petite sizes often stop at a 16.
I had also become concerned about the effect that my weight was having on my long term health. This for me was the final straw that pushed me to do something about my weight, and that's when I found Ideal Weight.
After meeting with my coach I decided on joining the 3 plan as I felt this would help me with my weight loss goals, and still let me eat one meal a day. I also really like the idea of learning about portion sizes and food groups by following the meal matrix.
My family have been very supportive. My partner has been having the meals from the matrix when I do and my parents have been amending their weekly dinners when I visit them.
The support from my coach has been amazing! She is always there to listen and give me suggestions should I need it. She understood that when I was going on holiday it would be a challenging situation.
After a discussion with my coach, she suggested that I could switch to the 2 plan for the duration of my holiday to help me avoid any temptations while still remaining on my weight loss goal. In the end I did not need it and found it easier than I thought to have the packs whilst sunbathing!
I have learnt so much about myself since joining Ideal Weight. The coaching has made me evaluate my relationship with food and by discovering my eating triggers, I am better able to question myself and make the best choice with regards to meals.
I am still on my weight loss journey and know I have more to do, but the more sessions I go to the more I learn about myself and in turn my coach learns about me, so she knows where my personal pitfalls are. She is always telling me that I need to be more confident about my body shape and the way I view myself. If I feel more confident then I will BE more confident and therefore make the best choices for ME!
