I had lost a significant amount of weight in the past, but unfortunately gained it back again.
After discussing the options with my coach, I decided to follow the 3 Plan so that I could still eat one meal a day created from the meal matrix as it was important for me to learn healthy habits and portion sizes.
I had a holiday and a couple of weekend breaks where I wanted to enjoy myself without completely ruining my long term goals, but it seemed like I wasn't even on a diet as I managed to eat healthier and smaller portions while still having a great time.
My coach is great and has kept me focused on my goals, even when I've felt like giving in. If I hadn't lost much weight one week, she would get the tape measure out and show me the inches I was losing to keep me motivated.
I have found the weekly sessions a key part of my progress. It's a useful way of learning new habits around food and to discuss things when you are struggling with keeping motivated. Over the weeks I have learnt so much that will be key to me maintaining my new ideal weight.
I have so much more energy and passion for life. Being overweight can stop you doing things and being happy. Getting dressed now is about choice and colour, not dark colours and what fits. I have gone from a 38/40 inch waist to a 34 inch waist. Everything is too big and I've got back into my old clothes again.
I feel so much fitter and healthier and since my confidence has grown I am in the process of setting up my own garden design business. Anyone considering Ideal Weight should definitely give it a go. You won't be disappointed with the weight loss after a few weeks and the group work is a great way for self-learning. I now feel able to continue losing a little more weight on my own which I struggled with before.
