I first heard about Ideal Weight through a work colleague who suggested that we could join together.
What first struck me about ideal weight was the number of plans available. I knew the amount of weight I wanted to get off, and was really pleased that I had a choice about how I could work towards my goal.
I decided that the 3 plan would suit me best as it would still allow me to lose a significant amount of weight whilst still enjoying one meal a day.
I also thought it was great that I could pick the meal I ate, which has really helped me to keep and maintain my interest and focus.
I wasn't too sure how the coaching would work at first, but I found it really beneficial to have an independent person's views, opinions and expertise on the reasons behind my weight gain. I also found that sharing the highs and sometimes low with other people really beneficial, as I came to realise that I was not that different to the others taking part, and that we faced similar challenges.
think what really made the difference for me was how ideal weight helped refocused and re-educated my mind about food in general. I now place far more emphasis and have a greater understand on the importance of healthier eating and portion control, which has really helped me lose and maintain my weight.
I would definitely give any men out there my full support and encouragement if they were considering joining ideal weight. I was amazed at how my self-confidence grew as I began dropping down in my trouser and suit sizes. It has given me a real boost and has helped keep focused on maintaining my weight.
