I live a pretty hectic life style trying to balance work and my social life, and have always struggled to find time to fit much else in.
I had noticed that I was beginning to put on a few extra pounds, but knew that with my busy life, the gym wasn't really for me. I had tried to keep active when I could with some cycling, but still felt unhappy about my weight and really wanted to get myself back in shape.
It was around this time that I heard about a local Ideal Weight group from a work colleague. At first I wasn't really all that sure. I had enough going on in my life and really couldn't see me being able to commit to weekly coaching sessions long term. In the end I decided to call my local coach for a chat and found out that there was a lunch time session which I could attend...and I am so glad that I took the plunge and made that call!
For me the most important part is the coaching; it's the one thing that helps keep your head in the right place and maintain your focus on your goals. I honestly feel that without the coaching I would have found some reason to stop my plan, or not lost the weight that I have.
What else I love about the Ideal Weight coaching sessions is the support you receive. In my job, I have to spend a lot of time going to meetings and socialising with clients and colleagues, so temptation is never far away. Whereas before, if I had broken a diet I would have felt guilty and tried to hide the fact that I hadn't stuck to something. Now, with the support of my coach and fellow group members, I am able to share my moments of weakness and wobbles, knowing that I will receive the support I need to get focused and back on track.
Now I am feeling great and so much more positive about myself. Following the success I have had on the Ideal Weight plan, I have now joined the local gym and I make sure that I make time in my life to do more of the things that I never seemed able to do before.
