After a very personal journey and turning point in my life I decided that the last piece of the jigsaw for me was to get my weight back to a healthy level.
I felt very unhappy with my weight and how I looked, but I was also very aware of the health implications that being overweight can cause, so I took the brave step to make changes and do something about my weight.
In October 2012 I did some internet research into diet plans and Ideal Weight caught my eye. I contacted my local coach before attended a Meet and Greet session and was so impressed that I started there and then.
I started on the 3 Plan which I found gave me the flexibility to still cook and enjoy food. It also meant that I did this in a controlled way so I stayed within the allocated calories per day and therefore lost weight.
I really found the coaching sessions helpful and for me they were the best part of the journey. I had tried many diets in the past but always put the weight back on. I now feel confident that I can keep it off as my outlook on food has changed and it helped me to feel positive about myself and how I control my own destiny.
The sessions were great fun and I have now made some great friends who helped me along my weight loss journey. I have had so many compliments on how I look and how well I have done and I am enjoying the attention!! The best news I received on my journey was from my GP who was very pleased that my blood pressure has gone from very high to normal without any medical intervention, so not only do I feel good, I am healthier too.
