I realised I needed to lose weight when I saw photos of myself that I didn't like. I had realised I had let myself go! I was also aware my BMI was high, which was bothering me. It was time to make a change.
I had used a calorie counting app but couldn't sustain it
I chose Ideal Weight because my coach Helen had followed the plan herself and kept the weight off. I also liked the sound of CBT coaching sessions as I had tried using a calorie counting app before, but I couldn't sustain it so I knew I needed some extra support to stick to my plan.
I have been following the plan for 3 ½ months and have lost 2 stone 2lbs!
I started on the 3 plan as I was keen to keep some 'real' food in my day, but I wanted a big kick start. The plan is very flexible and easy to follow and there's a very big selection of what you can cook when you get creative with the matrix - many dishes I cooked before, I could still eat.
My coach has inspired me to believe that I can do it!
She has succeeded so I believe I can too. She is very positive and always has reassuring words if you are having a 'bad day'. She texts if needed and is always wanting to know how all her clients are doing.
My coaching sessions have taught me that weight loss should be a lifestyle change not just a quick fix.
From my coaching sessions I have learnt that when you have a bad day you have to allow yourself to get over it rather than just deciding you can't do it and giving up! You have to be realistic but at the same time believe you can do it and push yourself towards your goals. You have to get in the mind frame that you're doing this because you want to change your lifestyle for good, not just a 'quick fix'. The coaching sessions are great as they allow you to support others and you gain your own support from the group.

Now I have reached my ideal weight I am going to keep following the 1 plan + maintenance plan and attend coaching sessions to make sure I stay on track.
I've gained confidence, I'm happier and I have more energy!
Since losing weight with Ideal Weight I have so much more energy and I'm a much happier person to be around. I used to be a size 14/16 but now I have a brand new wardrobe of size 10/12 clothes that I fit into! I recently went for a School Governors role and got it! I would never have had the confidence or head space to achieve that six months ago.
To anyone who is thinking about starting an Ideal Weight plan, I'd say DO IT! I had reservations about a 'supplement' diet, but Ideal Weight offers the kick start you need along with CBT coaching which helps you in all areas of life, not just weight loss.
